Everyone has a Story

Everyone has a Story will be the opportunity to hear about the 18 month action learning programme delivered by the PDI in understanding the recovery needs of children and young people. The launch event will be held in Edinburgh on Thursday, 9th June and be an opportunity to hear about the findings and recommendations. Humza Yousaf has confirmed awards under the latest round of the Scottish Government’s Small Grants Programme for 2016/17 during a visit to The Turing Trust in Edinburgh today (Wednesday 9th March). The Minister will be joined by James Turing, Alan Turing's great-nephew.

The Minister for Europe and International Development has announced that 14 Scottish based organisations will receive funding totalling £464,774.

Scottish-based organisations benefitting from this funding will work in Bangladesh, India, Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia in a wide range of areas from integrating health care improvements for disabled children, to ensuring access for small scale pond aquaculture fish farmers

Local charities invited to get online and talk funding

Local charities invited to get online and talk funding with Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland. Every month, the Foundation hosts advice surgeries using online face to face technology. Charities with a Skype account or Google Hangout are invited to book an appointment at any of the monthly surgeries between Janaury and December.

The Foundation has been running its Henry Duncan Awards since 2010, and you may well be wondering who Henry Duncan is…..please do take a look to find out more about him and why his work ultimately led to the establishment of the Foundation.
